Unit pengurusan makmal
FGHT
Sebelum wujudnya Unit Pengurusan Makmal Fakulti Geoinformasi dan Harta Tanah, iaitu pada tahun 2009 semua makmal-makmal diuruskan oleh jabatan-jabatan yang terdapat di dalam fakulti iaitu jabatan geomatik, jabatan geoinformasi, jabatan remote sensing, jabatan pentadbiran tanah dan jabatan penilaian harta tanah.
Bagi melancarkan dan menyeragamkan pentadbiran dan pengurusan setiap makmal-makmal di dalam fakulti, Unit Pengurusan Makmal Fakulti Geoinformasi dan Harta Tanah diwujudkan dibawah pengawasan Unit Pengurusan Makmal Universiti. Unit Pengurusan Makmal Fakulti Geoinformasi dan Harta Tanah diketuai oleh seorang pengurus makmal manakala Unit Pengurusan Makmal Universiti di ketuai oleh seorang pengarah.
Oleh itu segala keperluan jabatan-jabatan yang berkaitan dengan pembelajaran amali, penyelidikan dan perundingan akan diuruskan oleh Unit Pengurusan Makmal Fakulti. Segala urusan harta modal dan inventori asset-aset makmal-makmal diuruskan secara berpusat oleh Unit Pengurusan Makmal Fakulti.

Monitoring laboratory activities at the faculty.

Planning and improving the old and new laboratory development.

Planning and improving the competency of laboratory staff.

Planning the career path of laboratory staff.

Creating strategic and centralized laboratory.

As a bridge between faculty and industry for related laboratories fields.

To get the specific laboratory recognition and certification such as ISO, 5S, accreditation and endorsement for competency of staff. (eg: boilerman, etc).

Handling the finance related to laboratories such as RU budget, RMK and annual budget.

Being a reference and resource center for all parties (related to UTM laboratories and expertise).

♦ Workshop, store, analysis, calibration and instrumentation. -
Research Laboratory
♦ Laboratory for research purposes. Examples: center for “Research Group”. -
Excellence Laboratory Makmal Kecemerlangan
♦ Special laboratory that generate income. -
IT Laboratory Makmal IT
♦ Laboratory for IT facilities. Examples: Website & word processing.

Maintenance (only for university equipment, research equipment are not included)
